About THE BODY OBJECTIVE

For some time, TERA had a link to The Body Objective, a site by and about women and their bodies and body images, a site with stories and photos, essays, poetry, and more. It was a powerful site with a considerable following.
In April 2001 we removed the link. The following, written on April 22, explains why.
- After two years online, The Body Objective has closed. Due to the overwhelming time it takes to run a productive site, we are no longer able to maintain it. We deeply appreciate all the support our viewers and members have given to The Body Objective during our run. We would especially like to thank all the courageous women who contributed their photos and moving words, which were the heart of the site.
- We sincerely hope that The Body Objective was a bright spot in the vast world of websites, and that we opened a few hearts and taught a few to celebrate the exquisite beauty of every woman.
